APPRAISALS

Appraisals are an option dictated in your insurance policy as a way to settle disputes on the value of your claim. The appraisal process is spelled out clearly in your insurance documents and should be completed before any litigation occurs. Each disputing side picks an independent appraiser and they try to reach agreement. If they cannot, they then need to choose an umpire that is acceptable to both parties. The umpire will then determine the outcome.

ESTIMATING

For a fee, Leo can write a comprehensive estimate for repairs related to any insurance claim. In the past, he has written estimates for homeowners and major insurance carriers - some exceeding $5,000,000. His expertise allows him to write residential, commercial and industrial claims. All estimates include photographic documentation and will be written in the industry standard estimating software - Xactimate.
